Hi Ric and Nikki,
re copyright clarifications thanks.
I'm right in presuming, i take it,
this being my primary concern,
that such materials as can be accessed
here may be re-distributed free of charge
as widely as imaginable BUT not charged
for or made use of in any way of commercial
benefit to the re-distributor in any form,
format or forum?
What seems to be underlying paranoia has
a basis - if statements of poetics, poetry,
reviews, essays and so on are posted
here and then used by another for tangible
profit. I'm aware of the weasel aura around
'Tangible'. Can we widen the discussion?
It does conflate with 'marketing' and
distribution.
Reframing the concern with specific reference
to CH (who are a pre-eminent publisher,
developing rights over poetry in virtual territories).
If CH are known as offering a 'strong' gateway
to contemporary poetry (let's say) and include
access to lists, and the archives of lists, such as
this as part of their service, then I'm reassured
to know that the materials cannot be re-copyrighted
if re-presented in another format (CD-ROM archive
volume 56 'Now that's what I call plagiarism').
the cruncher being without permission. Which brings
us right back to Nicolas Johnson and that Tom Raworth
title?
love and love
cris
