Well, opinion may be regionally divided, David, but for me in Scots, "thole" means to abide, as in "I cannae thole the man." And "wheesht" means hush the verb or noun. Fiona %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
