cris says

<<So Orpheus wants to talk recent Jeff Nuttall. I admit it's a while
since i was reading him. His mode became set amd it didn't engage
me... That's not to say he isn't a pivotal cross-artform figure,
and an important mobiliser here between 1966 - 76 say. Just that
i can't discuss his recent work Allen has already pointed to some
of what he's currently exhibiting. Perhaps he knows more.>>

I tried and tried but obviously didnt try hard enough to get to his recent
show so I can't speak of that... Re wordals - advert here - I have 7 pp of
work in progress, crossings out the lot wch will be published next tuesday
in a mag SVP 97 no 11... all i have to do is choose stuff of my own for the
mag... i would normally weed down 7pp but one rarely sees his latest work
so i thought what the hell

i dont see jeff as LEADING now - leading? whatever, im damned if im going
to say avant garde or anything - although he remains interesting and VERY
perceptive as a commentator - he'll often go to the imporant / salient
point in a few words in conversation

<<My own small sense would be that Prynne, in his 'resolve' is met and
undone
by Raworth (for myself that writer who activates the quotidien humane)
with pith and humor and local engagements beyond Jeremy's scope.>>

yes, repeated

<<The other who might be sometimes weirdly too taken for granted,
we could have a big tango here i reckon, is Bob Cobbing.>>

absolutely

<<Now 77 and having just produced almost 150 (might have exceeded that
even)
mostly extraordinary books (in collaboration with Jethro) in the
first 16 months of the Domestic Ambient Noise sequence.>>

not quite its about 140 - i lost my place and responded to the wrong ones -
i mean responded in the wrong order so that 150 appeared before those
leading up to it... but who's counting

Jethro Nestle

orphic himm says

<<Be jaysus! Did yu say 150 books! I ahd no idea, the only Ive seen
of his was eons ago>>

cris was saying 150 books with me - in less than 3 years - but bob has his
own stuff - he's got a new photocopier now that brings out the detail in
things - so the DANs should be more detailed and his work!!! he showed some
stuff at the last workshop that was... well pick a superlative - and though
showing family resemblances to past work - new

we're going to DAN for 5 minutes next Tuesday by the way at SVP

<<Coach House went under - it's all been pulped>>
i think youll find that bobs new river project may have some

Lawrence JellyBabby

pierre
<<'cept it rose, if not on the third day, then a bit later & is doing some
interesting stuff again. Check out the url below:>>

yeh - i was talking to them and then we kinda got cut off - its not quite
the same - i was asking them for sources of the Blaser Collected... but i
agree it looks very interesting
