Hi,
re conflation of 'creative' writing and essays -
seems to me that many of those book environments
which i find most long-term engaging are essays.
That much of the most remarkable writing and
language performance (oral, visual)
in the twentieth century has been produced in
the critical essay / cultural resources arenas.
Keston's got Stein right in there.
A huge list is possible. I'm going to resist
such. but just for discussion, How about:
'Artifice of Absorption', 'Signage', 'A',
'Spatial Stories', 'My Emily Dickinson', 'Ideas on
the Culture Dreamed of', 'One Way Street', 'Elemental
Passions', 'The Third Mind', 'Glas', 'The Cantos',
'Panopticon', 'Talking at the Boundaries'
blah
love and love
