Lawrence, the kind of jargon they usually want is
1. the usual cashflow forecasts, names of printers, how distribution, and
publicity/marketing; standard stuff.
2. The other thing is some kind of <community> elementŠ I dont mean social
worker, but they like an audience of youth, underprivliged, etc etc. This
is also the angle the <new> tag might take [one reason Ive been told not tt
panic is it might be possible to accentuate new or young [or black or gay
etc etc] writers we already publish, but somehow make them a visible list.
Or, perhaps concentrate for a while on the fiction we publish].
Having said that a letter arrived this morning from Monica Tross, Arts
Council/Lottery Liason officer, saying that the scheme is now likely to
happen in the New Year; and that it is very much a pilot project. So plenty
of time to consider and plan.
I'd recommend getting hold of the normal lottery pack, the A4E lottery pack
and maybe an old copy of the A4E express packs to see the kind of
information. It *is* liably to be a lot of work. But Chris is right about
going for something major in scope [and finance!].
oh, you do have to have match funding; not Regional Arts, either. But
sometimes it can be in kind [paper/ink] or possibly labour [your
<wages>/costs?] or o/d facilities . ie be creative there, too!
they recommend talking to RAA's wherever you are. I'd get into conversation
soon, whoever the LAB is nowadays, however much teth-gritting is involved.
Hop that helps. I dont know much mor about the specifics, but I *do* have
copies of lottery stuff and been involved in several low-level applications
on other schemes [plus the usual RAA applications and funding stuff].
