Found a good site that the folks on this list may like, if you aren't
already aware of it...
A few days ago my father asked me to look fot the words to "Heil dir im
Siegerkranz", a German song from the 18th C to the tune of "God Save the
King", and a good match for it for pompous nationalism.
Over lunch, I tried a search using AltaVista; my first effort was misspelled
(I typed "in" for "im"), and landed me in a Swedish Neo-Nazi site which sells
recordings of Nazi music; it is heartening to realize that Swedish Nazis are
illiterate idiots, too, and therefore are unlikely to attract many customers
who can.
On my second try, with correct orthography, I turned up the following
page:
http://acronet.net/~robokopp/Lieder/heildiri.html
...which has the complete set of lyrics, and is a subset of a really very
good archive of songs from a number of different countries at
http://acronet.net/~robokopp/folkindx.htm
The countries for which this guy has hundreds of songs (and some midi tunes) are
Songs of Germany / Volkslieder aus Deutschland
built together with Frank Petersohn / mit Frank Petersohn eingebaut.
Songs of England / Volkslieder aus England
Songs of Ireland / Volkslieder aus Irland
Songs of Austria / Volkslieder aus Österreich
Songs of Scotland / Volkslieder aus Schottland
Songs of the USA / Volkslieder aus den Vereinigte Staaten
Songs of Wales / Volkslieder aus Wales

Clay lies still, but blood's a rover;
Breath's a ware that will not keep.
Up, Lad! When the journey's over,
There'll be time enough to sleep.
