I've got general questions which this circus debate has thrown up: why is
it easier to break normal codes of civility over e-mail, does anyone think
this has happened, and why would it be especially prompted by this
particular instance? I know I get a slight bile lump in my throat when we
start on greatness, especially of the generally-so-codified. As "the
reverse is also true," why does protectionism of one's own avant-garde
loop necessitate boldness verging on bitterness? Or am I the only person
to feel so? I do feel like there's been alot of shouting, and my inbox
has been shouted down when I have the temerity to open it. I'm not very
interested in the general theology of the internet, but this has been an
odd week.
