Hi, Francois,
I don't recall seeing many postings in response to your query. I
don't know if this exactly helps you but there was a prayer in the
old Latin mass, for when incense was used, which has some bearing on it.
"Per intercessionem beati Michaelis Archangeli, stantis a dexteris
altaris incensi, et omnium electorum suorum, incensum istud
dignetur Dominus benedicere, et in odorem suavitatis accipere."
It doesn't actually say that either Michael or the Lord experienced
the physical sensation of smell but it implies some equivalent of that.
Cheers,
Martin
