Let's just stick with names in English. Proselytizing (sp) by travelers such as
Stuart to countries where English is not the native tongue may result in
translation being needed at some time in the future.
Sensible though USMARC numbers are (believe it or not, they truly are easy to
remember, both because they're short and because they are in "families" - for
example, all note fields are 5xx numbers), they exist for very specific reasons
(e.g., a very large, complex set of fields; I'm sure Rebecca Guenther could come
up with other reasons), and it seems at this point these reasons don't apply to
DC use.
