Abstract and Subject can remain in the same field.
As long as the field is sufficiently long to handle
abstracts, it will work.

PROPOSITION:
The notion of ABSTRACT is well accepted in all text-based communities.
It is sufficiently different from SUBJECT to merit a field of its own.
PRO: The wide recognition (and use) of such a field has raised more
questions than any other element (or lack of element) in public
discussions of the Dublin Core.
The ABSTRACT - SUBJECT distinction could be applied to image
description to accommodate the difference between
IMAGE-CONTENT and SUBJECT
CON: for searching purposes, indexing of ABSTRACT seperately from SUBJECT
is unlikely to have a significant impact on discovery.
Change to the existing set of elements should only be done under
compelling circumstances
