I agree, but there seems to be a need for autonomous META tag entries
as there is a perception that META entries will get 'mixed up' ??
(will this be the case?)
For example, or research units home page at:
http://www.dstc.edu.au/RDU/
has BOTH Dublin Core and Alta Vista metadata in it (as a 'warwick package').
There should not be mix-up (in theory) of the META entries (since
the NAMES are all different).
