I have accepted an invitation from Progress in Human Geography to write
three annual reports on geography and ethics. I take this to refer to work
at the interface of geography and moral philosophy, though issues of
professional ethics would also be included. I would be grateful for the
asssistance of anyone who has the time to draw my attention to relevant
literature, either via references or hard copy (eg reprints). The topics
which I would expect to cover include: 'moral geographies, landscapes,
locations'; the moral significance of distance, space, place, boundaries;
environmental ethics and justice; social justice. I am particularly
interested in geographical work explicitly informed by or linked to
literature in ethics/moral philosophy, and in the work of moral
philosophers with an explicitly spatial content. A large agenda, to cover
which I need all the help I can get.
