Bill,
We had some very succesful results using Scanfix 2.1 to deskew
and rotate material which we had digitised from microfilm where
skewing could be a particualrly accute problem. We used it in
conjunction with a package called TIFF Editor. Both were
configured for us to use by Sean Khorassani of Prestige Networks
of Bracknell. He can be contacted on 01344 303800.
Given the size of the image files we used to run it as an
overnight job and I guess you'd have to do the same, but we
encountered no difficulties with this.

Subject: ANYBODY USED SCANFIX SOFTWARE?

Dear list member.
Apologies for cross posting.
Does anybody have experience of using Sequoia ScanFix software for
enhancing images prior to OCR?
I would appreciate any comments as to the usefulness/value of the
package. If anybody has any ideas as to a UK outlet or contact for
this software, I would be very grateful.
Many Thanks,
Bill Jupp
