Three trends one can see clearly at present throughout the developed world,
whether or not one approves of them:
(1) A higher and higher proportion of people earn their living as
"information workers" rather than agricultural, manufacturing or service
workers.
(2) More and more employers are seeking to employ people on a temporary,
short-term contract, casual, piecework or self-employed basis instead of
in any kind of permanent job.
(3) Copyright and other forms of intellectual property rights are under
attack and widely believed to be unenforceable on the Internet.
If all three of these trends continue, how is anyone going to make a living?
