Hmm.... does the '=' omitted from your example not make the former
more intelligible?
It's important for us to remember that a large element of the value
of DC is ease of use and legibility- to both software search engines
and wetware! Certainly from my point of view, the only way to
encourage those not normally interested in metadata (something I'm
currently doing quite a lot!) is to make the metadata easy to ENTER
and easy to INTERPRET. Any DC entry therefore needs to make as much
sense to the (casual?) reader as possible. Hence the importance of
LINK tags, as well as legible syntax inside the META tag.
