This post is being sent to several lists, so my apologies if you have
received it more than once:
Dear Colleagues,
For next year's Annual Meeting of the Association of American Geographers,
I am interested in either creating or joining a panel concerning
"Globalisation and Locality," looking particularly at the social, cultural
and humanistic aspects of the penetration of the global into the local,
rather than or in addition to the economic and structural impacts. This
could include topics such as "virtual geography" and the internet, tourism
impacts, identity and place, and (as they say in the States) much, much
more.
If you are interested, or know of someone who might be, I would be pleased
to hear from you.
Thank you!
Doug Herman
