As part of a project to promote electronic publishing in Canadian
postsecondary institutions, I am attempting to locate examples of
the following:
1) Guidelines for editors of peer reviewed paper journals
and/or monographs interested in creating a presence for
their publication(s) on the Internet/WWW (e.g. checklists,
information on pricing and technical options, etc.). This
presence could range from simple advertising and
subscription data, to abstracts, full texts, or entirely new
services; and
2) Similar guidelines for academics or academic organizations
interested in starting non-profit, peer reviewed electronic
publications.
Responses will be summarized, and a pointer to the results
distributed to the above lists.
Many thanks for your assistance. I hope the related information
below will also be of interest.

The introduction to the HYPERJOURNAL discussion list notes that
Damien Keown, DPhil (Oxon), co-founder of The Journal of Buddhist
Ethics (the United Kingdom's first peer-reviewed WWW journal) is
working with Prof. Wayne R. Husted on a manual entitled "How to

progress of this project are being made.

C.M.C. SURVEY
-------------
On Feb. 4/96, John December <[log in to unmask]> surveyed the
members of alt.zines, comp.infosystems.www.misc, and
comp.publish.electronic.misc for input to the May 1996 issue of
his electronic publication, Computer-Mediated Communication
Magazine (http://www.december.com/cmc/mag/).
Mr. December asks those who create and distribute publications on
the Web: "What are the *real* problems of publishing on the Web?
What are the main things you've learned? What do these lessons
mean for your future?"
