A Research Associate is required for 2.5years to work on 'a study of
public awareness of air quality and respiratory health: assessing the
impact of health advice' jointly supervised by Dr Suzanne Moffatt
(Dept of Epidemiology & Public Health, University of Newcastle upon
Tyne, UK) and Dr Christine Dunn (Dept of Geography, University of
Durham, UK).
Funded by the Department of Health, the project is an in-depth study
of public awareness, perception and risk of respiratory ill-health in
relation to air quality and the impact of health advice.
We seek a social scientist, with postgraduate qualification (PhD or MA
by research) or an appropriate research record. You should have
skills in at least two of the following:
social survey methods, interviewing, qualitative data analysis,
experience of qualitative data analysis software, report and/or
academic paper writing.
Maximum starting salary will be stlg17,466 on the RA 1A scale
(stlg14,317-stlg21,519) according to qualifications and experience.
