I don't see why what Tim has called a 'world geography forum' needs a
physical 'base' or a 'home'. That is the Kensington Gore model. We all have
various different bases/homes, and we don't need more bureaucracy. I
personally don't think we need a kind of CritGeog Fourth International
either. Instead I value having an open access network, through which we can
communicate, and learn about geographical issues/conflicts across a much
wider space - and through which necessary local (supposedly 'parochial')
campaigns can be assisted much more effectively than through bureaucracies.
This is surely 'action' of an important and necessary kind. felix driver
