I don't know all.
But some years ago a trainee for GP spent 8 months in my place.
During this period he undertook a study.
Every 10th patient was screened with a simple 3 question-list.
If possitive they were asked the questions from a validated list for
diagnosis of depression (Hamilton)
To my and the surprise of many others of his group in the Institute we
experienced GP underdiagnosed a very substantial amount of patients!
(I forgot the figures)
Really I was astouned, because I like to think a lot about depressed
patients and treatment.
