I am currently engaged in some work relating to the rational diagnosis of the
common cancers within general practice. In particular I feel it would be of
value to examine the predictive values of signs, symptoms and tests in relation
to primary care patient populations eg the positive predictive value of
"indigestion or change in bowel habit not rapidly normalised" in relation to
colorectal cancer in general practice or, perhaps, "hoarseness or coughing
without any apparent reason" in relation to lung cancer.
Can anyone help me with any further information/data in this area
Thanks
