Greetings GP-UKers!
I'm looking for a bit of advice.
I have been contacted by a hotel who are looking for someone to
provide a medical service to their patrons.
They want me to pay 150 pounds for some telephone engineering
work, so that, if a patron phones a number, they will be put
through to [wherever I want]. They don't want any commission,
but would like a service for their patrons. Fees, etc, would
be up to me.
Does anyone else out there do this kind of thing? What fees
do you charge? Are there any obvious pitfalls? Should I turn
and run away as fast as possible? Or welcome a new source of
income with open arms? Is it always Japanese tourists wanting
something for a snotty nose at 3am, or is most of the work
9-5? Patently, if I'm going to get out of bed at 3am, I'd
rather get 50 quid cash in hand and have a nice hotel to
walk through rather than 20 pounds and a dangerous housing
estate to negotiate.
Comments/experience/warnings all welcome - by email or to the list.
I thank you.
PS Horror novel - "dream home" - now up and running on the webpages.
Something to read during the long (wet?) bank holiday weekend.
