I've been writing a short article about GTN and angina.
While doing so, a half-forgotten memory popped into my
head - this happens sometimes.
I seem to remember (ISTR!) something about soldiers
in the war chewing on Cordite (???) which has GTN/TNT
in it - the aim being to raise their pulse so that they
would fail a medical and not have to serve/go to the
trenches/whatever.
Sounds dangerous to me, but am I making it up, or
does this ring any bells with other GP-UKers?
Is it a wartime myth?
