Our supplier - MCS - have stated that multilex have 80% of the market for
drug dictionaries on gp clinical systems. And soon it will be 100%.
Is this true?
If so, how could a non-hierarchical dictionary (as against say the BNF),
have gained such a position?
I'm sick and tired of having to write SQls for SQLs for SQLs to search for
patients on specific drug groups.
Does anyone have a system that lets them simply search by BNF drug group
from multilex? MCS have promised, but not delivered with the latest
"upgrade" for 2000 - 2.8d.
Yer, and another moan, the contra-indication/warnings are terrible. Why for
example, should asthma be a warning for prescribing salbutamol, etc, etc, etc?
It makes the read code problem look small beans.
