Severe hayfever *can* prevent a youngster studying - and can certainly
affect performance in exams.Poor grades may have a disastrous effect on
future opportunities - so, although I tend to discourage depot steroids
- and certainly discourage more than one per annum - I am more
sympathetic if it is an exam year.
I can't recall *any* adverse effects. We use Kenalog 40mg ..
I would worry about long term effects if using it frequently.. but I
don't see how we could look at this without a major long term study.
My patients have found a sure fire answer - spend the hayfever season on
the opposite side of the Atlantic!
