Graham Ross "Welcome".
I was always taught to be polite even to a potential enemy.
There are a number of problems doctors have with the legal system;
1. The system has no sense of time and seem not to care.
Cases that could be solved around a table early are
prolonged at great cost
not so much in money but in patients' mental health..
Judges and lawyers know this but appear to do nothing.
2. No one else is allowed to make a mistake yet if the court system makes a
mistake there
are layers and layers of self-correcting appeals - those
who made the legal error however
are not reprimanded. They appear free to repeat other errors.
3. Fairness and lack of discrimination is suborned to legal nit-picking.
4. Yes - I know I can bury my mistakes but unfortunatly I have also to live
with the memory.
An orthopedic collegue said that his problem was that he
could see his mistakes
limping towards him.
