"P" in "PR" stands for "per" (latin). In Australia, sometimes written as
PR or PV or PRE or PVE ("E" for examination). "Surgery" in Australia is
used almost exclusively for the premises/office, but I notice in the UK
it is also used to describe a "session" as in "during my morning
surgery.." Glad you finally worked it out. Acronyms can be a little
intimidating if they are not universal.
