Ross wrote about a floor polisher instead of life support machine (and in
the process pleasantly demonstrated that he hasn't got a one-track mind!).
During my time in hospitals I seemd to hear hundreds of stories like
this. In retrospect they were probably mostly the health equivalent of
urban myths. Like the one about Sister telling new nurse to give Mr
Bloggs two aminophylline suppositories "to help his breathing", only to
later discover said suppositories sticking out his nose.
I'm sure someone can better that.
