Well 'wally' - like all good words - has a goodly number of meanings. I
always took the 'wally' in peelie-wally to be meaning 'made of percelain'
(as in "wally dugs") and the phrase meaning a bit sickly and fragile
feeling. But I'm an import to Glasgow...not a native.
