Most GP systems I know deal mostly with: how can I store it, retreive it,
present it. And a little bit of can we use the data in a better other way.
The point you made, that the document is a token to be handled for a
purpose, is hard to find in present day systems.
A strict breakdown of the functions of a document used in the medical
process is one of the main aspects of any new system.
