Scottish forms are slightly different (Hi Alan) but the Forth Valley Health
Board have asked us to submit IOSs on a batched form basis.
It makes it easier for them ("so what" says the GP who isn't on good terms with
them :-) Well - it makes it easier for us to check up too as one usually wants
to total up the claims for individual items and it's a lot easier if all the
Contraception (say) claims are on one form. You just total up that form to
reconcile it with the quarterly statement rather than go thru a pile of claim
forms counting the contraceptive claims on each and totalling the numbers for
each. Don't cut off your nose to spite your face. The minor surgery fee
generated thereby isn't worth it ;-)
We still use paper forms and are not yet convinced that the security side of IOS
has been sorted (three cheers for Ross!!!)
