Hi Ruth
However, I think Windows Messaging can handle MIME.
Does this message look OK? I have deliberately used long lines of text, and
have sent
this using Windows Messaging.
The problem may not be on your side :-)
Ruth
I think you have confirmed my beliefs - your message looks fine apart from
some carriage returns oddly placed but no weird characters, etc. I know that I
could use other mail readers and have looked at Pegasus which seems very good
but then again so does Microsoft Internet Mail. Windows Messaging seems to
handle most of my needs at present and with the promise of this POP3/SMTP
thingy in early '97 I think I can wait a bit longer and avoid all the hassles
of changing ISP's, direct debits, e-mail addresses, address books, etc. again.
My main difficulty at present is when someone sends a message with an attached
file in MIME format as I cannot work out how to detach it from the body of the
text. My last mail reader had a function "detach binary file" but this type of
feature seems lacking in Windows Messaging.
Wouldn't it be nice if we all used the same system then all these problems
would disappear like......erm - heard that somewhere before :-)
Merry Christmas
Peter
