As a GP with increasing hearing difficulty, I may need to use aids in the
future to carry on working.
Has anyone any experience of using an amplifying stethoscope?
This costs about 600 UKP.
It can't be used as far as I know with a NHS BE type aid, so consulting
would be difficult if an aid is needed while talking to patients.
Would it be better to spend the money on a private in the ear aid and use an
ordinary stethoscope? Is this possible?
I realise this is a personal query, but as deafness is a common problem,
there must someone out there who has been down this road before and has some
practical solutions.
Thanks
Gwen
