The aphorism currently guiding my life is: "If you can't beat them,
join them." The logic is obvious.
I have so far resisted becoming a fundholder, partly for political,
moral and ethical reasons, and partly (mostly) because I can't be
arsed (to slip, momentarily, into the vernacular).
However, I can foresee the situation 2-3 years down the road where,
if Unichem/M&S/BAT set up shop in my area and start advertising for
GPs, I will be at the front of the queue.
Morals? Who needs 'em. I'd rather sleep at night *AND* wake up the
next morning without that horrible sinking feeling in the pit of
my stomach.
