Is there a current *need* for email and WWW in the majority of general
practices?
EDI messages, importing useful registration and pathology information
directly into the practice computer *are* useful. The risks - whether
real or perceived - of email into the clinical system (if supported...)
would seem at present to outweigh the possible advantages.Things could
change...
One of these threads had a list of the prices involved.. until there are
a lot more sources of email(with or without encryption) and information
useful for the running of the practice, I cannot make a business case
for connection to *anything* - especially the NHSnet!
