I can only answer for pcAnywhere, which is what we use. It has built
in password security, and optional dial-back (so you're guarenteed to
be the right person, or at least, at the nominated dial-back
position).
Since we're scattered all over the country, we use a flextel number to
dial-back to, which needs a password to re-route it.
In addition, if the connection drops half way through, pcAnywhere
insists on the same user re-connecting and disconnecting properly.
