Well, yes. I have a particular interest in Medical Informatics, especially
from the GP angle. I had 50+ GP-UK messages today, 90% of them of little
immediate interest. Perhaps I might propose a split -
1 GP-UK general - all the tips, queries, general discussions, humour, etc.
2 GP-UK clinical - self explanatory
3 GP-UK informatics - use and developments in (primary care) clinical computing
Why? Well, apart from the self-interest, I'd like to keep in touch with
the community, which is why I joined in the first place. But the
proportion of what I am concerned with is far too low. I think the GP
informatics community needs a serious forum for discussions - but not one
that is restricted to academic esoterica. OK, the split means a bit more
thought about where to post messages, but there would be more chance of a
reply from some of the "sleeping" members who I suspect just press the
delete buttons.
Any thoughts?
