There is another way, use windows explorer to locate the files.
There are all under c:\Windows\Desktop folder.
Once you locate the unwanted file, delete them the usual way (right click,
delete).
Most of the files are shortcut files, that is, they point to another file
elsewhere.
The windows\desktop is just like any other directory or folder and can
contain exe files as well.
If you frequently use a program, you should either place it in this
directory or create
a shortcut to it in here. It will show up on your desktop - quickest way to
run your program.
