I'm using a laptop regularly with EMIs portable on it ,- works fine ,
downloads pt notes via phone or serial link. advantage you can do surgery
letters, summarising notes infront of the telly and the wife doesn't forget
what you look like!!
Kermit works via laptop - but you ca't ammend notes and then upload again -
so emis portable is the best option.
My business case for portable involved a docking station at work - so I
have no PC other than the portable and an old surplus vga monitor/docking
station - so 1100 UKP saved for starters.
