The OMNI project is building a gateway to high quality biomedical
information on the Internet for the higher education and research community
in the UK. Progress and future developments will be discussed at this
Seminar. If you are a biomedical librarian/information officer, information
provider, journalist, end user or computer support staff member with an
interest in the use of biomedical information for teaching or research, then
this is a meeting not to be missed!

Pre-OMNI Netskills event
Netskills will be running a hands-on workshop titled
'An introduction to the Internet' in London on 22 January, the day before
the OMNI Seminar. This workshop will be Medical and Bioscience related
and will introduce Internet services such as email and the World Wide
Web. It will also examine searching the Internet for medical information and
will make extensive use of the OMNI service.
Participants do not need previous Internet experience or knowledge.
The cost of the workshop, including lunch and workshop materials is 45
pounds.
