I think I have to stand corrected.
Can I say that I agree with what Prof. Wells says about a network
being free at the point of use?
People still ask me how much it costs to send an email.
(I do realise it costs money, but that is a fixed charge paid by the
institution).
The explosion we have seen in the Internet has partly come about from
a generation of students leaving University (JANET) where they had
the luxury of free Internet access, and expecting Net links to be
establiched by their companies.
