I have something of a fascination for names (perhaps because
mine are so peculiar) and I often ask patients for their middle
names.
Searching the computer for 'Emily' I found 7 matches. Three
patients were over 85 and the other four were under 6.
I have a patient whose first name is Adalat. Sadly, he is not
hypertensive.
We have several young girls named Paris, but none called India.
The situation might be reversed were we practising in West London.
We also have a few Chelseas, speaking about West London.
One is called Chelcie. Her parents liked the name but wanted to
spell it differently, so that she would feel special. I'm sorry,
but that, to me, looks like Chel-key.
We've also got quite a few men called Peter. Hur-hur, always makes
me laugh, that one.
(the muse is off elsewhere today)
