It was the input here that has decided how we are going to implement
coding in Adastra. We are going for full Read coding (probably using
a Read 2 dataset in Read 3 database) to allow those power users the
flexibility that want (need?). However, we have approached a number
of parties to try and get a good out-of-hours core of 2-300 codes to
be part of a "hotlist" of codes. These would represent (I hope) 99%
of all OOH consultations. We would welcome anybody that has an
interest in this to step forward! :-)

Ok, let me explain a bit further. We have been in communication with
TAS about interlinkage with our system, but discussions collapsed
after we spoke to our customer base and they didn't really want it
enough to justify our effort. I have seen it, and it's a good and
well written package. I was just stating fact when I said that I knew
of co-operatives that had started with it and later abandoned it. I
was not suggesting that it was bad at all (hell - how should I know,
I'm not a Doctor), just repeating the comments I've heard so that
potential users could be well informed.
It's complimentary to our product range, not in competition so I have
no reason to be biased either way. I was honestly trying to be
helpful.
>Regarding .sig files I still think my criticism is justified.
I have ammended my .sig - but my software doesn't allow you to define
a per-sig for mail folders, only newsgroups. So I hope I remember to
activate it each time I post - please forgive me if I slip up.
Hatchets buried?
Best wishes
James
