What are you wanting to compare the rates of all liver and lung cancer *or*
lung cancer compared to Hep B liver cancers. I've assumed the former,
because that's an easier question.
Using England & Wales data (1989 Cancer Statistics: registrations,
(1994) OPCS, Series MB1 No. 22). In 1989 there were the following
numbers of new registrations (incident cases)
Malignant neoplasms of trachea, bronchus & lung
Males 25,276 cases 102.5 per 100,000 population
Females 11,533 cases 44.5 per 100,0000
Malignant tumours of lliver and intrahepatic bile ducts
Males 734 cases 3.0 per 100,000 population
Females 475 cases 1.8 per 100,000
