To prevent yourself being dragged in to just make up the numbers of another
talking shop, ask the following questions:-
1) What are the aims and objectives of the group
2) What "power" does the group have
3) What resources does the group have at its disposal
4) What expert opinions do they expect you to be able to contribute
5) How much time are you expected to commit (not only in the actual
meetings, but preparatory work, spin of groups, etc)
6) How much are they are going to pay you
Do not be embarrassed to ask any of these questions, especially the latter.
