We've recently had a torrid time with our insurance company as well. Coutesy
of these nice insurance agents, BMA Services.
We've had to move our server into a locked cupboard. I was really worried
about it over heating but a thermostatically controlled extractor fan (more
expense) has covered that.
Then they wanted us to connect our burglar alarm to a dial-up security
service at *huge* expense. We balked at this and threatened to take our
business elsewhere. Eventually they relented. I'm still waiting for a demand
that we put up those awful steel shutters on our ground floor windows. I
suppose if we have to do that, then we won't need any theft-insurance;-)
Insurance - we make you pay for an umbrella when the sun shines, and then
take it away when it rains.
