Heard on a non medical grapevine that a GP I did some local sussions for near
Gatwick (it's a shame sometimes this list isn't secure ) had taken his own life.
I've not seen him for 15years or so but he was a damn good doctor and a good
"bloke" -almost as important. By coincidence we've just locally had a survery by
the local lib/dem. candidate for Southend which says (surprise surprise ) That
75% of local GPs would pack it in if they could- stress of the 1990 contract
blamed.
1) Is this true ?
2) Can we do anything about it ?
3) Who spots the suicidal GP and stops him topping himself?
