Damm statistics! Last time I looked at these things these reflected
"consultant episodes". E.g if a patient goes into hospital and sees
several consultants then several treatments will be recorded. I suspect
increased treatments reflect better recording of the consultant episodes
and/or early re-admissions of patients discharged too early.
