I agree entirely. Its should be all about self auditing for GPs for them to
record accurate data about what they are actually doing. Aggregated data may even help
develop schemes for reducing GP workload
Each Consultation be it telephone or face-to-face ends up in the GP 'prescribing' advice/
action of some description.
Until practitioners begin to record the diversity of their work which
does include probs with dead cats to sore throats to bad knees to
'advice' on DSS forms it is difficult to prioritise where to offer decision-support
beyond the clinical sphere.
Who knows you may be right Patients may even benefit
