Hang on Ahmad!! That is not so. You can have PSTN or ISDN access to
NHSnet - both are acceptable and both will support IP. So you can run
X400 on either. X400 is definitely something that IMG is pushing very
hard
Trouble is that BT has commercial interests and may not be an unbiased
source of information on IMG policy

Actually though it pains me you may well be wrong. As ISDN prices fall
there will come a time when it will be cheaper to have one ISDN line
rather than two PSTN. It is the cost and the implications of X400, and
the charging structures of NHSnet that are likely to give GPs the most
cause for concern

Won't make any difference. Mercury is also signed up to NHSnet and so
subject to exactly the same codes of connection. Not even sure that we
know what they will charge GPs yet but you may know more than I do

News of ISDN's demise seems a little exaggerated. How soon is soon?
